About Carolyn
" I have lived in Harlan nearly all my life, having moved here from Tennant
when I was three years old. My parents are Bob and Marge Kramer who likewise
live in Harlan. I have three siblings - Jim, Sharon and Julie.
In 1993, I married my husband, Bruce, who was my high school sweetheart. Bruce's
parents are the late Terry Blum and Barb Morse. Bruce is a sales representative
for a company that sells fire trucks and ambulances in the state of Iowa. He is
also Captain of the Harlan Fire Department of which he has been a volunteer for
17 years.
We have three children, Mikayla, Alex and Jenna. We enjoy the simple family time
that we spend together. One of our favorite family summertime activities is
going camping." Qualifications
" I have 20 years combined experience in the banking profession as a
customer service representative and in the legal profession as a legal
assistant, as well as many years in the retail business. In addition, I have an Associate's
Degree in Business Management and Accounting, graduating with highest honors.
As a result of my educational and professional background, I believe that the
position of County Treasurer would parallel my goals in the working environment.
I am capable of managing, prioritizing,
and organizing all aspects of an office, as well as having the ability for human
relation skills and communication with the public." I
Need Your Vote!
" When elected, I will improve the efficiency of the office, including the
Motor Vehicle Department in order to run the office in the spirit of the public
served. I have always felt that public service is important. It is imperative
that we all offer our experience and skills to the county to instill a renewed
belief in our government. I feel that I can foster this belief.
As anyone knows, we could all choose to live in a different state, county
or town, but we have chosen Shelby County, Iowa, as our preference. My family
and I are committed to this community and entrust our loyal dedication to the
ties that we have formed here. It would only instill our roots even more to have
Shelby County vote for me as your new County Treasurer on November 7, 2006.
Thank you for your support." |
